The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday at 9:56pm, their office received a report of an ATV crash on Badger Creek Road just north of Swanville in Culdrum Township. According to the Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Brandon Janey of Little Falls, MN was driving a side-by-side northbound on Badger Creek Road. Janey failed to negotiate the curve in the road and drove off the roadway. Janey was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital with unknown injuries. 

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said a 55-year-old man ran a stop sign in Zion Township Sunday afternoon, resulting in a multi-vehicle crash. The accident happened just after 5:45 at the intersection of Stearns County Road 16 and County Road 130. John Weber of Hawick was driving a 2008 Dodge Avenger. It struck a 2013 Dodge Durango SUV, injuring a 67-year-old woman who was behind the wheel and her 21-year-old passenger, both from St. Cloud. Everyone involved was taken to CentraCare – Paynesville Hospital for treatment via ambulance. The crash is still under investigation.

A 47-year-old Holdingford man was seriously injured following a motorcycle crash on Saturday evening. According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Jason Klein was traveling southbound on County Road 9 when he lost control of his 2003 Harley Davidson while negotiating a curve near the intersection with 440th Street in Holding Township. The motorcycle entered the west ditch, where deputies found him. Authorities say Klein was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries. The incident remains under investigation.

A three-day crime spree has left several downtown Dassel businesses damaged. The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says in a press release that it received a dozen calls for break-ins, property damage, and burglaries between the 12th and 14th. Doors and windows were shattered or bent as suspicious people tried to get inside. They were seen walking throughout the commercial district this weekend. A vehicle was also vandalized on the south end of town, which may be connected. Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze says his staff is still gathering evidence and reviewing surveillance video. He is asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information should call 320-693-5400, or tips can be left using the tip line at 320-693-5411.

The Brainerd Fire Department reported may calls in the past days. at 7:13pm Thursday they had to do traffic control and patient care on scene of the accident mentioned with a motorcycle and sheriff's vehicle on County Road 45 south of Brainerd. At 11:35pm last Wednesday, firefighters responded to a report of a carbon monoxide alarm going off on the 8100 block of Greenwood Road. The alarm activation was due to a maintenance issue. At 1:25pm last Tuesday, firefighters responded to a report of a grass fire on the 4700 block of Brentwood Road. Crews extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported. They also responded to the hospital but they were false alarms and the alarm system was taken in for maintenance.
